Pre-Declaring Till Totals

For increased security you may want your team to declare how much is in the cash drawer before the system tells you how much should be in there. This can be achieved using the ‘Pre-declaration’ option.

To set up this option, in Analyst EPoS select Admin and then System Configuration.

Scroll down to the Till totals sub-heading.

There are a couple of options which you may find useful.

Press OK to confirm your choices.

Next the Assistants settings will need to be adjusted.

From the Setup menu select Assistants.

Now select the assistant that you wish to perform the pre-declaration and press Edit.

In the Options section of the Assistants window scroll down to the Till Totals sub-heading.

Check the option to ‘Pre-declare drawer totals’.

You may also want to uncheck the Allow Check and View option, reserving this action for more senior colleagues.

Press OK to confirm your selections.

Repeat these steps for any other Assistants you want to pre-declare or check and view.
